It is a tradition that in December we go caroling to visit senior members of the church. In the spirit of Christmas, we sing and cheer them up. Before we go, we usually confirm to the hosts whether it is convenient for them that we come at a certain time. This year, Mrs. A, a 76-year-old lady, was on the list of visits.

This old lady couldn’t walk. She has been paralyzed for years. Now she’s 93. She’s never married as she devotes all her life to serve others as a pastor. Now she lays in bed all day, waiting for the Lord to call her home.

Boys will be Boys

My husband’s hobby is cycling. He has a group of cyclists. This year they did a cycling trip in Japan. I came along. No, no, I’m not cycling. Just supporting beloved hubby and following the cyclist by car. These boys ages range from 55 to 70. Now you would guess they went fun-cycling with an average speed of a slug. Actually no, not a slug, a panther maybe!

One Fine Day

The other day I had the privilege of spending a day with a graceful 97-year-young lady. She’s the mother in law of my good friend. She lives alone! Yes some assistants are ready at her disposal, but she practically lives by herself.
